Hello every one
I have Question in my module 10 and i am bit confuse for aswer if some one can help me please
1) List four formulation of GTN
2) Give one example of advatages and disadvatages of each
3) how many tabs would be supplied if you have rx for GTN 500 FOR 50 tabs
1) This can be found in the BNF. For example as well as tablet form it is also available as a aerosol, patch etc.
2) Pretty straightforward once you know the different formulations its available in. For example the patch only needs applying once so patient doesnt have to carry a spray with him/her, but on the down side the patch may irritate or the patient develops a tolerance to them.
3) The answer to this can be found in the drug tariff.
hi.. gtn can be available in tablets, patch , ointment , spray. and gtn tabs come in special container of 100 so if 50 is prescribed they would still be given 100, a disadvantage of this is that they need to be discarded 8 weeks after opening.hope this helps, Zoe
