Job Wanted As Counter Assistant

I'm an International student studying at King's College in Year 1 of my MPharm degree. Since i am new in the country and i have little practical idea about how the community pharmacy works here, it'd have been better for me if could work in a small pharmacy as a counter assistant or something like that.

Any suggestions of how to get that? i heard some big chains like tesco or lloyds pharmacy employ college going students, but the Home students get the preference i suppose

No they don't: I know quite a few international students who have part time jobs. Go into your local pharmacies with a CV and ask if there are any jobs going. Spring/summer time each year is good as many final years finish their jobs before they start pre-reg.
