NVQ 3 Unit 2 Element 4 K20 Input and Retrieval of Stock Data

In unit 2, element 4 (issue stock), Knowledge 20 is 'input and retrieval of stock data' what does this mean? I've tried looking into it but I'm still not sure what it means in relation to issuing stock.

The computer should give you a report of how much stock of any item has been dispensed over a specified period. Also dead stock and how many times in a specified period. Other reports usually obtainable are current stock, how frequently an item out of stock etc etc. Very easy in Pharmacy Manager. I know that Compass will give you total value of stock, in the old days had to report to HO every day.

    Hi,

I covered K20 in this unit by saying I input item details into our computer system in order to retrieve data on the prices and stock levels as the local surgery had asked what stock we had in and what the price was per item.

My assessor passed me with that - hope this helps x
