Re: can someone help me please

    Hey,
    Just noticed your post.
In pharmacy some of it tends to be word of mouth which can be a pain.

It might be something simple as your cv. Have you considered amending your cv, perhaps your not highlighing key skills that you have that make you an ideal candidate for the jobs even though you may have them. If you want any help im happy to help!

Also maybe you can send another round of cover letters with your cv - i know it gets rather tedious at times and very demotivating when you feel like your getting nowhere but it just takes one person to think yeah this persons ideal for this place, they might keep your cv aside until a future position becomes available especially if you state please consider me for any future posts - and if they are a big chain then more options. It does take time unfortunately.

Also I would try to refrain from writing I want to do my nvq3 (if you have) and maybe put something on the lines your eager to learn and develop your training. Once you get your foot through the door somewhere you can always then show your interest in doing the nvq3 even if it means paying for it yourself. Most employers want to see that your committed to a job therefore wait a little while before they will consider putting you on these courses. If you put I want to do my nvq3 -depending on how you word it it sounds like your saying I want to do this then im going to bugger off to somewhere else lotsa laughs!

Also if you do decide to send your cv and cover letter out again amend it slightly rather than sending the same copy again - im sure you have but that way you spark their interest rather than them reading the same thing again if you applied before - in which case they might think your just being lazy! Sounds daft but I know what my boss is like plus sending out cover letters again to employers doesnt necessarily show you being desperate it shows your keen and committed too.

The other side of it is a few bosses I have worked for in the past are very slooooooooooow in sorting anything out so it might just be someone is getting round to sorting you out with an interview.
Jobs come up in pharmacy all the time especially for dispensers etc -especially near me but its obviously its different times of the year so maybe you just tried at the wrong time- i.e. during summer all students - cheap labour! try before or after christmas you might get lucky!
Good luck and I will keep my eye out for anything for you. Feel free to PM me if you want any help
    Krisi

For Community Pharmacy try looking at C+D Jobs | pharmacy job vacancies | Choose from 513 live vacancies. It might also be worth checking in your local Job Centre, or the job pages of your local newspapers as often pharmacies advertise there for staff.

For Hospital Pharmacy look at the NHS Jobs website: jobs.nhs.uk - I've heard that vacancies for Student Pharmacy Technicians normally only come up a couple of times a year to coincide with the start of college courses (normally September or January) so you might wait a while for a vacancy but it's worth looking regularly if you're keen.
