Hi there, good luck with the nvq3 - ive started mine in august but happy to help anytime.
Dont be terrified about finding the course too hard although saying that I am and im on my next module lotsa laughs. Once you get down to doing it its not overly difficult just takes some time getting your head around it all. I think everyone would agree its a challenge but is achievable! Just takes time and if u put effort in then you will get there
Your lucky you got a senior technician who sounds like shel be a great help - use them to your advantage - Krisi x
hi krisi thanks for the encouragement and im sure i will need some help at some point lol i am really pleased i found this site hope to speak to you morexx
Hope you enjoy the NVQ 3 process. It is hard at times but it's worth every minute. There's loads of great folk on here that will be glad to help. Just ask.
Hello, welcome to the forum I agree with the others, it is difficult at times but if you complete it you will be so proud of what you have achieved. Everyone on here is very helpful so don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. I'm sure having a senior technician around will come in very useful.
hello im andrea , and have also just started nvq3 , well im 6 months into it. Been doing this job for 26 years , but its still difficult putting the knowledge down on paper.had to do all my nvq2 again , cos too much time had elapsed from finishing and starting on level 3. that was so annoying, flew through it though.thank god for this forum, it looks like I could get alot of help here , although I do have a good team where I work. Im sure everyone here will hear from me again
hello nice to get a reply, funny how Im still so enthusiastic about pharmacy. Could have a few problems with the criteria required for unit 10,now that the responsible pharmacist regs have been introduced, not supposed to make things up according to the guidlines, but how can I report an activity if we cant even open up in the morning without a pharmacist present , I could could use my ingenuity and get round it, ha ha!
Welcome !
Am a tech too, did my NVQ3 quite a while ago now, but I will be glad to help if I can.
I would say that to make the training as easy as possible, you need to set your own schedule and stick to it. It's very easy to fall behind (Xmas rush, holidays, busy work, etc) but it can be hard to catch up. Be prepared to do a lot of work at home. As said above, it is quite intensive, but it is worth it. If you have a boring module, look forward to the ones where you actually learn about drug and doing more hands-on things.
Good luck !
