Hi I am doing my NVQ 3 at the moment iam working on unit 6 and unit 5 I had to phoned the NPA myself after coming back to work haveing 4weeks off for a barevement I thought that my manager or the pharmacist would have done this on my behalf. the npa has given me untill january to finish as I was told that the modules and units books changes. Its been and still is very difficult to get the time and help at work.
Does any one know how to work through unit 5 manage your work and development there are 2 books do i work through one or both I am getting very stressed

For Unit 5 I would start by reading the standards and especially the pink pages again.
The "Unit 5 Workbook" needs to be completed- this will cover all the knowledge requirements (providing all the activities are completed and correctly witnessed) and then you need to write reports to cover the PCs and Ranges as per the standards. You shouldn't need to use any Pharmacists Assessments for this Unit as all the knowledge is covered in the workbook.

I purchased a medical dictionary and a concise guide to medicines & drugs book which I find very informative. I am currently doing my NVQ 3 and find them a godsend. Hope this is of help. Good luck xxx
