Exclamation Boots The Chemist ACT hourly rate

I'm currently working as an ACT in a multiple chain and have come across a job advert for Boots as an ACT.

Can anyone shed any light as to what Boots offers to its ACT in terms of hourly rate, so I can decide whether to make the move. I have worked for Boots in the past but not in the pharmacy.

    Regards

Thanks I thought it would be much higher than you quoted but like you say this was 2 years ago. I know Lloyds are offering £10.60 p/h to its ACTs.

Not found any job offerings for ACTs in hospital through NHS jobs. I'm thinking it'll be difficult to find as many of the technicians in hospital stay on and become checking technicians.

much higher? what for? why? you aint responsible for any dispensing error yet..... some employee/locum pharmacists get 19 quid/hour in birmingham area. do you still think it should be much higher?

have you been ti a DD dispensary? dispensers check the work after each others, and give out medication, and on minimum wage.
just be glad if you could get up to 12 quid/hour.........

I think most companies pay ACTs about £9 per hour.

yeah i think £10 is around average - i was very lucky to get £12 which had more to do with the fact it was an independent who i knew and had worked for before

It has taken me a good while to get employed by NHS but the jobs do come up eventually.

Try not to expect too much pay wise, £10 an hour is a bloody good wage!!

Well, it's below the national average for both male and female workers in the UK.
