thanks for your reply but i will have to try and get a contraindication at work where i have a prescription to back it up. don't think i have ever seen a contraindication on a prescription other than a patient who is allergic to penicillin-therefore contraindicated. thankyou for your help
hi there all you lucky guys who have passed the unit 1. it is wrecking my head at this stage. for those that passed this unit what contraindication did you use for unit 1. i'm at work validating the prescription and never seem to see a contraindication. this is the only report i need to resubmit and times running out!! thanks to all of you cassiex
i have had my unit 1 back and i have a few things to re-do , my marker is being really picky on the knowledge and my contra-indication report was wrong it said i could say i checked weather they were allergic to penicillin when giving out an antibiotic but that was wrong , so my marker has put "please do an example about a contra-indication when issuing the medicine to the patient" ????? am really confused because we would not issue the prescription and the doctor would not prescribe it if something was contra-indicated or this would rarely happen, so am thinking of using something like a patient who i know was diabetic wants to buy something wth sugar in it or someone who has high blood pressure wants to buy a decongestant but i dont know if this is correct arrrgggg please help x
