    It depends on the pharmacist...i'm happy for dispensers/techs/ACTs to complete MUR form or identify patients.. but not to give advice etc about the meds as they have no clinical pharmacy(although its not a clinical review) training besides the DOH specifications state that it should be done by a registered pharmacist
    Pharmacy support staff can be involved in almost anything in a pharmacy apart from PGDs(patient group directions ) it all depends on the pharmacist in charge and the person in questions' competences

    Not completely true: our smoking cessation service PGD in Wales allows techicians to do the follow-up consultations, provided they've undertaken the relevant training session.

    Not in England. Assistants/dispensers and techs train to level 2 (smoking cessation service) and can prescribe any of the NRTs , but cannot be involved in a CHAMPIX pgd
