    Question nvq3-books to read

Hi, i have received the candidates guide to pharmacy tech and it gives a list of reference books to read. Can anyone suggest the books I really need to purchase and maybe the best place to purchase them ?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

What books are on your list? I'm interested to know what they are recommending.

Personally I wouldn't purchase a BNF, drug tariff or the medicines, ethics and practice as they should be available within the pharmacy. The BNF and drug tariff update every month (I think) so maybe they would let you have an old copy. I'm not sure how often the MEP updates.

Code of ethics for Pharmacists and Pharmacy technicians

The professional standards and documents are also on the RPSGB website.

Have a look at the online medical dictionaries.

I haven't heard of the other books so can't help you any further.

hi...... I didn't purchase any books as they should be available for you to read in the pharmacy.
A good idea is to request the last months Drug tariff and Bnf as you can use this for reference, always bearing in mind to quote the ones you use for reference as evidence, so your assessor knows which one you are using.
