Smile NVQ Question Please

Hi All
Just joined today - great site!
Can anyone help please - I have just completed two courses in the last 13 months - Pharmacy Assistant and Dispensing Assistant.
Does anyone know if the 'Dispensing Assistant' course is equivalent to NVQ2?
I have paperwork arrived with my certificate asking if I want to start the
NVQ3 which starts in May.
Thanks in anticipation.

A lady at work has recently completed an NPA Introduction to dispensing course which appears to be equivalent to NVQ 2. After completing this course she was also offered NVQ 3.

John, that can't be right because I started NVQ 3 straight away without having completed NVQ 2 or an equivalent.

I believe the dispensing assistant course, the first three modules of the NVQ 3 qualification is indeed NVQ 2. I don't recognise it I'm afraid. I pay my staff a small increase for achieving the knowledge part of the NVQ 3 and a big increase for achieving the full NVQ 3. I'm afraid as a responsible pharmacist I couldn't allow any autonomy to someone with a qualification of such poor quality.

NVQ 2 Is the first three modules of NVQ 3 If you are doing the NPA course.

Oh I see. I think mine is City&Guilds which must be slightly different.
