    Whats up Doc

nteresting article by Chemist and Druggist here http://www.chemistanddruggist.co.uk/...ionals-see-you

Basically the overall view is not that great..... GPs look down on pharmacists....making recommendations in the most patronizing of ways......basically the general message is : "stay in the back room and keep dispensing KID!! let the big boys handle important stuff"...........

We are literary will be literary be taking it lying down when this GP commissioning thing goes through.

    "The GPs"
Contradict each other on whether services are good or bad.
    "The Commisioner"
Seems to have a relatively balanced view.
    THE GOOD
    • Medicines advice
    • Blood pressure checks, flu vaccinations, minor ailments schemes, drug addiction therapy
    • Support for long-term conditions
    The Nurse
Doesn't really have a clue about modern pharmacy services (by her own admission)

They are also good at dealing with problems of language or literacy, which are a big deal for our patients.
