A few years ago every house in the the Republic of Ireland was issued with Iodine tablets (via the postman!) after a government minister did a radio interview which showed we weren't prepared for a nuclear accident in Sellafield. Of course they are now long out of date but nobody knew what to do with them so we were told to just hold onto them.Originally Posted by johnep
Today I had somebody looking to buy fresh supplies. Felt like asking him if he had any idea how far away Japan is and how many millions would be dead before harmful levels of radiation reached Ireland.
