    Trade organisations launch "unified voice for pharmacy"

    “Pharmacy Voice”, a new representative body for community pharmacy, was established this week by three key pharmacy bodies.

    The National Pharmacy Association, the Company Chemists’ Association and the Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies have created the organisation in a bid to provide “a stronger, unified voice” for their members.

    Seconded.
    When is the RPS going to come to the centre of the ring to represent those doing the 'grunt' work.
    Two hours walk in the snow, stand in freezing shop, phone not stopped ringing, faxes pumping out, no deliveries etc etc.
    Surgery closed early and all patients piling in for emergency supplies.

    Who is number 1?; You are number 6.

    copy and paste my comments from locumvoice:

    So that's another seat for "interested parties" at consultations

    CCA = themselves
    NPA = CCA
    Boots = CCA
    LLoyds = CCA
    PV = CCA (can't see AIMP having a big share there)
    PSNC = CCA (as far as I can see....)
    Old RPSGB = CCA (more or less)
    New RPS = remains to be seen
    PDA = not invited

    May we could each become a "representative body" and have a place each

    Does this mean the CCA isn't expecting undiluted running of the RPS? .... which probably means they won't be paying for it....

    And we will all be swept along with it and have even less say in what becomes of our profession.
    (Am I still allowed to say that?)

    Unfortunately, when the society was formed Pharmacy and Pharmacists were one and the same. Now they are employers and employed. A voice for pharmacy is a voice for the employers not for pharmacists.

    ... but the Pie doesn't belong to the pharmacists anymore.
