    Viagra OTC for Feb 14th

Here's one that might start a debate!

Boots are going to be doing what looks like a PGD on Viagra - 4 tablets for £50. Have a look here then let us know what you all think!

Might go well in West End pharmacies. Where I work hardly anyone pays anything, all SLS without any rationale that I can deduce.

Curanail a big no no for same reason. They do not want to pay!

I remember a customer looking at the back of a private prescription to sign exemption. He also thought he had paid the doctor for everything.

No, of course Boots aren't profiteering.

Apparantly, their publicity to get some viagra in for Valentine's Day fell a bit flat when patients were told to book an appointment for Monday. The dozen red roses will be dead by then!

I was furious when I read another story about this (can't remember where). The £50 covers not only the viagra (what strength?) but also a one hour consultation with the pharmacist!

It was on the local radio station this morning about this, and they seemed to resent to having to pay for the pharmacist consultation. We have given our services for free for far too long to start charging for them, and expecting people to pay.

I'm not saying I agree with that, but I believe that's the way people see us. It was even on the national news with people saying pharmacists should not be selling it because it's a prescription drug, and some people can't take it.

If I had a pound for every guy taking nitrates, also prescribed Viagra from his GP............

Doesn't surprise me really. If the society actually used some of our retention fees to represent us it might be different. Most likely they didn't respond to these recent concerns either!

...More details in the latest PJ:
"The pharmacist will take the patient's medical history, assess his symptoms of erectile dysfunction as well as check his cholesterol, BP,[...]"

They'd have to pay me a lot more than £50 before I even consider doing this!!!!
