PDA attacks Boots’s responsible pharmacist "advance declaration"
Criticism has been levelled by the Pharmacists’ Defence Association over an "advance declaration" procedure that Boots has developed to allow its pharmacies to operate without a pharmacist present.
The PDA says that making a declaration in advance is not within the spirit of the responsible pharmacist Regulations and benefits operators that do not want to pay pharmacists to be present.
Boots UK confirmed that it has developed an advance declaration template for occasions when its pharmacy operations begin before the pharmacy opens to its patients.
Looks like a remote supervision dodge to me?
If you are signed one, its your watch and therefore if anything happens its your comeback.
PDA : thankyou for getting in there ; RPSGB where are you and why are you dithering?
I'm amazed that any pharmacist would except this, let alone a Boots employee.
It is undermining any authority that responsible pharmacists have to be told to sign in by proxy as it is company policy?
Pharmacists - we just do what we are told.
Help - where is the exit?
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
