I think it has its place for hypercondriac's and people Doctors can find nothing wrong with, as we might as well save the real medicine for people who are ill. At college I have to do a 3000 word essay on anything controversial to do with science, so I am doing it on CAM v scientific medicine.
What about that CAM cancer centre in Mexico (not sure what it called, plus there is more than one i think), that really grinds my gears that place does (as they got kicked out of the US, for ripping people off) and people still spend thousands of pounds there still. A friend of a friend is even going there, I mean everythings worth a try if you have cancer and it can't be cured, but it just annoyes me that it will most probabley not get cured and these people are spending about 30k+.
That must be the lowest of low ripping dieing people off !!!
There is a long way to go before homeopathy is dead. People will always look for an alternative solution to their medical problems when conventional therapy fails. The spiritual/holistic aspects of homeopathy, the fact that patients can feel some sort of control over their treatment and the perception of a good patient-practitioner relationship are all factors which appeal to the public.

”We are real. We are not glam sh*t or anything else. We are Guns N’ Roses.”
Thanks I will watch it, as am very interested in the whole thing although not in the sence that I am a beleiver in homeopathy.
We have a couple of women on the access course that I am doing, that are going to Uni to study alternative medicine and they really do beleive there is some science behind it, although they are unable to explain exactly how it works...... this seems the general rule with CAM lol
If you're studying for a homeopathy degree, do you get a better and better grade the less work you do ?

Really very simple, if a treatment not proven by controlled trial, then make it available privately. Individual PCTs can add to red list if DOH unwilling to act.
In the early 1980s the company I worked for producing galenicals was destroyed by the DOH removing mixtures such as Mist Amon Chlor ey morph.

I'd like to see a proper controlled trial.
Although its not homeopathy, remember what the establishment did to a lot of what we now regard as conventional.
e.pylori and ulcers was viewed as 'utter poppycock' once, but is it now?

Also remember 'Prescribers Journal' saying that Librium was not as good as Mist Pot Brom et Nux Vom. This article was so criticised that the mag was dropped by the DOH and Andrew Herxheimer appointed to produce a new one.

Bye Bye Homeopathy..
Hello Herbal medicine regulation
Its always been my 'gut feeling' that body and mind need to work together to maintain health.
Homeopathy might just emphasise the mind part.
That's why the best HCPs are the ones with a good 'bedside manner' and know how to engage the mind of their patients in the healing processes.
