Fortunately for most of us community Pharmacists, this only affects a particular batch of the 10-pack prefilled syringes of Engerix-B, so not the packs we were most likely to encounter in retail pharmacy...

Get your own email on the MHRA email list- don't wait for the PCT or your head office to do something.
I know that its not always possible to check emails during the working day but the MHRA do send things out at night and weekends too.

This could start the debate about 'personal internet access' at work again.

Perhaps the store could open a yahoo (other free services are available) and register for these emails.

That way all the staff could see them.
No-one would use it personally as it is open for all to read.
Also handy for general queries to suppliers etc.
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
    What do you want?;..................

I've just looked at my MHRA emails and the majority of them were sent out of office hours!
I imagine that they go out in batches so as not to crash their mail server but better to get something twice - at home and at work than not at all!

One good thing about Cegedim: their little man pops up and tells you about these things, when you are labelling.

I don't think they are very quick about getting the info out, though.
    ....just my opinion
