Erm not sure we'd be that desperate to remain in the Profession, to work as a dispenser in another country.
I knew an owner-manager who was struck off. He sold his pharmacies (he had two or three), bought another elsewhere and ran it on a series of locums. After a couple of years he applied to come back on the Register, apologised nicely etc and was allowed back on.
Blow me if he didn't do something else silly a couple of years later and the (then) Stat Com took a very dim view, in view of his previous conduct and threw him off again. So back he went to plan B.
Tried to re-apply again a few years later but the Stat Com were having none of it this time.
Sounds like the chap who had pharmacies on IOW and then went to Channel Isles.

It was. Old college friend, married to a friend of my wife! Stupid, ungrateful, selfish man.
I would probably retire if I was facing a striking off.
Knew someone who did that, too, Tony. He rang me as LPC Sec asking what he should do and as I knew he had the opportunity of selling his contract I advised him to do so and retire gracefully. Which he did and subsequently left a large amount of money for Good Works in his home town.
Retiring gracefully is fine if you have reached a certain age and if you have a pharmacy to sell to fund your old age but what if you are still relatively young and have financial committments? How do you earn a living?
My biggest bargain was buying a pharmacy from someone facing imminent disqualification. Don't assume that in such circumstances you are always able to command "top dollar"!
