I could always move abroad. Our family came to Britain in the 70s but have never given up our ties to the old country, where we've been investing in property and banks for the past two decades. A big country, burgeoning economy, with plenty of opportunities...

Pharmacy is a decent career there right?

What is the name of this mystical land of milk and honey?

My first job was as a manager of a shop where the owner had been struck off. I gave notice as soon as I found out. I did not want to be held responsible for anything he might do. I did not have keys to the shop and had no guarantee he wouldn't be in there without my knowledge. The GP next door had also been in trouble. He gave a sick note to a man who was in prison on the day the doctor claimed to have examined him. He was scared of the local addicts and prescribed excessive amounts of benzodiazepines for their pleasure.
I was held to a full 2 calendar month notice period but only worked 3 in total. I prayed hard every month that my salary cheque didn't bounce.
4 months after graduating I was locumming! I did get a management position soon after. It would have proved difficult to get a mortgage as a newly qualified pharmacist doing odd locum jobs through an agency.
If I was struck off myself? I have kids and only work part time. I would probably forget pharmacy and look at classroom assistant type posts, for low paid, term time only work.
