Employed people cannot claim for anything escept items with which they could not do their job, ie Reg Fee.

Self employed can claim everything necessary to carry out their work. With regard to cars. If you claim for car purchase you may be charged tax on the use of it. best to claim only business mileage of percentage of running costs. your act will advise.

I assume you mean accountant as opposed to ACT?

Don't go with the NPA for indemnity cover. Go with the PDA.

Personally I think it is essential to be a member of the PDA. They provide more than just insurance. They will give you advice for any problems you might encounter with management etc. at work
