Saves the label from disappearing as well... once I stuck a label on my hand while sorting out a shelf because the drug boxes were falling over each other... when I eventually got to stick the label, it was nowhere to be seen.... only found it when doing the cleaning rota months afterwards, neatly stuck on the underside of the shelf that was above !

Rule is read label against script, then against item. Ie prednisolone not propranolol.

I totally agree - never dispense from the labels, always the script. It's so easy to pick up a strip of labels and walk around picking up the drugs from these labels and keeping the error going.

hey guys, only a student but learnt a huge lesson today dont sit there holding label in ure hand, attach it to the bottle! Had an dispensing exam forgot to attach label to amoxicillin bottle . how can a person forgot the simplest of things! ..am feeling , i realised the minute the examiner turned away from me!

I have to ask...

If you didn't attach the label to the bottle, what did you attach it to?
