Voting in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Council elections fell again this year, with only 15.3 per cent of eligible voters taking part in the ballot.
No surprise there then (again). Pretty much proves what the other 84.7% think. It's over for the pharm soc...just the same dismal bunch of parasites they have always been. Let's move on..and quickly! Personally speaking, I will happily relinquish my enforced premature retirement and pay my fee to re-join the new governing body.
Happy Fleegle.

Reason: Dismal bunch of parasites.
Indeed, it shows that no one really cares to vote for something that's going to vaporise this time next year anyway.
However... it is fairly worrying as it could mean less people are going to get involved in the new professional body and we could possibly loose our one chance to have a focused voice for pharmacy and return to the current situation of having loads of smaller organisations fighting it out for attention.
Point taken..and a good point to boot Tigerswift. May I take this opportunity to appeal to all the other formerly RPSGB-registered pharmacists who found themselves forced into 'early retirement' by the current 'Society', who are also members of this forum to speak out by means of a post in this thread. We are all fully aware that one past-president of the RPSGB was forced into resignation from the profession he devoted his life to, amongst many other long-serving members, in order to retain his belief.
I was similarly forced into resignation, and would like to encourage any fellow members of the forum who found themselves in a similar position at that time to speak up now.
