In any event you clearly don't understand the difference between the RPSGB, the NRB and the GPhC.
While I agree with John and others that I'm sure no-one is actually going to be prosecuted, WHY should there be a situation where this is possible?
I'd like, believe it or not, to continue to be a member of the professional body even though, even if non-practising. I'll still be subject to the Code of Ethics. So they could throw me out. Just like the RPSGB can now. I've known a non-practising member struck off.
I've absolutely no intention of registering with the GPhC, though!
I think Jeff is pulling your leg.
Anyway if the profession cuts off all the old timers who have seen years of experiance it will be much poorer. who will be there to say we tried that in 19.. and this is what happened.
I hope that they sort this out but I think there is a lot of politics involved.
