It's just another thing for us to get in trouble over. Dispense a fake prescription and you're in trouble, refuse to dispense and then you haven't put the patient first and get in trouble. It's a lose-lose situation. Also you feel obliged to give emergency supplies now where at least before you could refer them to a UK registered doctor for a script.

Just glad I no longer work in a tourist hot spot!

Exactly Doctor Squiggle and his black biro should be banished, for ever. Emergency home visit prescriptions should be the exception, but even those should be written clearly and home visits are becoming a thing of the past anyway. It ain't necessarily so that bad hand writing is a sign of intelligence.
