    Re: Insurance for students studying

I can understand a technician or pharmacist requiring their own indemnity insurance for well documented reasons but why a student?

On a different but related note, we have employed some apprentices to do NVQ3. They can't be dismissed for under performance as they are by definition "learning". That means they aren't culpable. It means the RP is culpable. All their work is checked and the responsibility for their work is covered by my and the checking officer (pharmacist or technician) insurance.

Why, when that is the case, would students require insurance to work in a pharmacy?

It applies to you as well. It's not a special category. Who said you need insurance?
