I thought slavery had been abolished in this country. Why is your cousin working for nothing?

You have to look at so many factors the cost of the Pharmacist is very high and you are asking possibly too much from one person to work 100 hours.

You have your space rental costs, rates etc, fit out costs, as unless the unit is appealing, it will not get anywhere near the potential number of items passing through.

What start-up costs are you considering as all of thee will impact on the time to return a modest profit.

You could get two pharmacists for less than that offering greater flexibility.
I notice that the script figure has doubled since you post in May or is this a different surgery?
The advice on here is usually very good but I can't help feel that you should have a proper business plan that includes figures for the questions you are asking based on some concrete facts rather than just plucked from the air on an internet forum.

You will starve. I assume you are not a pharmacist yourself as you can't correctly spell the word. If so you are so badly prepared you will fail. If not I would suggest you look elsewhere for meaningful advice.

You will be lucky to do 80% of the prescriptions from the surgery you are in. You will not, without a serious and professional (ethical?) campaign attract anything from a surgery 200m away. We have no idea of the rental but I would imagine with 8500 items a month that you have a list size of about 7500 to 8000 patients. I would expect a rental "north" of £20k with rates at anything between £5k and £15k. Have you paid a premium to occupy the site?

I can't wish you good luck as to request advice on viability with this appalling lack of information is disrespectful to all who come here.

Try a hot food take away, you may have more success and you are less likely to lose your shirt on it...................

you couldn't apply for a 100 hour licence inside a premises with a primary care list

maybe its just mail order you can't have from a premises with nhs list ( ie docs or dents ), but i thought it covered 100 hour exemption too

You could apply for a distance selling licence but you wouldn't be able to open face to face to the public. There is no problem with a 100 hour pharmacy. Apart from this case in which there is insufficient business or information to give a realistic assessment.

can't help thinking that unless the drs are very benevolent the rental ( as function of turnover) will make the whole thing unviable
