I have an interview as a nhs pharmacy assistant. I would be really grateful if anyone can help on the type of questions and scenario's they will ask.
This post does not require any experience as they provide all the training and necessary qualifications. I do not have any experience of working in the pharmacy.
I was wandering if they will question my qualifications. Im 27 years old and have a degree in psychology and also crime scene and forensic investigation. Iv had re-think my options as jobs in the forensic field are not good. Pharmacy assistant is something i can progress in and it wont just be a job for the time being, its something i want to do long term. Do you think they will question this?
Yes you are vastly over qualified. Usual candidates have no GSEs. Minimum wage will apply. My next door neighbour's son took Criminology and cannot get a job in the Police. Working part time in Waitrose.
The expansion of university education will mean a degree needed to be a road sweeper soon.

You do start out with all the advantage of higher education over someone with none.
However, unlikely to get you much more pay. Best chance for you would be to advance in the admin field as an Area Manager.
Have you considered a Security Firm or the Military or Government Security. Other areas could be in a law firm.

Good luck in this! Assuming 'NHS' means 'Hospital', this may be an opening towards Pharmacy Technician status, which is a rewarding career to enter. That said, it may be better to apply for a work-based course as a Trainee dispenser or technician. In the NHS, assuming things haven't changed that much since I worked there, there is a career structure in Pharmacy Technician-ing and they are highly valued members of the Pharmacy Team.
Thank You Andrew! Need all the luck I can get as it has been very difficult for me to find a job. Yes they provide all the training and would eventually like to be a Senior Tech....providing I get the job!!
Having a degree is not a disadvantage. Thirteen out of fourteen people on my NHS tech course have degrees, so it would almost appear that you are at a disadvantage if you don't have one.
