i am just finishing the assistants course and will be going on to the tecnician course next. but if i leave the pharmacy i am currently st (hoping to go to uni) would i have to stop the course or could i carry it on ?? i would be moving to the other side of scotland.
If you get a job in a dispensary while at uni they could put you on the technicians course. You would have to nag a lot though, and it would be quite a bit of extra work on top of a degree.
I think with the NPA you can transfer courses from one pharmacy to another, so you would not have to stop and start from scratch.
are you sure about the reply as some pharmacies tie you in for 2 years after you have passed or make you pay the fees back if you leave or is this just rubbish to put you off not doing it?could someone ask npa if you can transfer to another company as the original company have to pay for it?
i am not looking to move companies, but was throwing the question about.the original poster i read wa asking can they leave a company and join another while at uni?and carry on with npa course.
Yes you can, I know many people that have done this, what normally happens say you go from ASDA to Morrisons - Morrisons would have to pay the superintendant or whoever payed for the course initially & reimburse them, as now Morrisons are going to be gaining from your expertise.
But - Doing this and a Degree... seems like extra work for nothing.. most people go to uni to specialise and then that will be their career.. and if you're doing pharmacy.. then what is the point?..
