can anyone help please NVQ 3

as evidence l need to include and examlpe of a workplace policy which differs from the manufactuers or suppliers instructions for example this could be an OTC product which due to its potential to be abused is kept out of sight of customers , due to your workplace policy where as it is not requirement of the drug manufacturer or supplier??
the only one I could think of was surgical spirit as it could be used in explosives but not 100% sure please please please help I only have two weeks left to complete course work

I used an example of an item that we keep in the fridge but which isn't required to be kept in the fridge by the manufacturer. Another example would be a drug which is harmful to child-bearing age women but which is not a CD but is kept in the CD cabinet so that no-one handles it without taking precautions. So in other words just to keep the staff aware that the drug needs careful handling if you are of child-bearing age.

    Hi Caroline

The examples that sparkybw has given are good. Other examples you could use are:

An OTC product which due to its potential to be abused is kept out of the sight of customers, due to your workplace policy, whereas this is not a requirement of the manufacturer or supplier.

An item that is kept in the controlled drug cupboard because of a workplace policy to prevent dispensing errors, such as one strength of Methotrexate tablets.

It may also be that your workplace has its electrical equipment tested on a yearly basis where as the manufacturers or suppliers instructions are different to this.
