    Pharmacy technician registration

    Hi can anyone advise me on what route i should apply> i am contracted to 7 hours a week but i work more because i cover for holidays and sickness. im not sure if i should apply via route a or b. I have worked in as a pharmacy tecnician for 12 years please help.

    Hi Donna
    Have you been a technician for 12 years and not registered? I think by law but I may be wrong that unless you register you cannot call yourself a technician. It may be worth a quick phone call to the General Pharmaceutical Council. xxx

    I hope all got sorted, need to know if anyone can tell me when the GPHC will put name on the register do they take payment the day your name goes on! they have taken £100 processing fee but not heard anything for two weeks!

    I understand they add people on 15th and 1st of every month, so as they only received my application on 7th, I'm guessing I'm waiting until 1st August - haven't had any money taken yet though!

    Hi Donna...
    I thought you have lost the option of route a and b if you didn't appy by the deadline of 30th June 2011 and can't call yourself a Pharmacy Technician unless you apply with the now needed qualifacations as listed on the GphC webpage.
