Summer placement programmes, I didn't get one! :(

I have applied for summer placement programmes, but so far all have been rejected!
I have spoken to my tutor and he said he can set me up with one week hospital placement.
Is it too late to keep applying to other companies?
How will this affect my pre-reg. applications?
I have a weekend job with Lloyds, but I haven't got to shaddow a pharmacist in the dispensary.

Already US forums are reporting job problems unless intern with that company. With the large numbers of pharmacy graduates in process, placements and pre reg positions are going to be critical. Something for our new leaders to consider.

Ditto here regarding job with lloyds, pester the pharmacist to show you how to use the dispensing system, familiarise yourself with stock control etc. I only had 1 week hosp experience and got a pre-reg so don't get too worried.

i'd ask to get into the dispensary with the pharmacist, just to get a feel of what they do and the like. i ahd a weeks work experience in hospital at end of my 2nd year and still got pre reg in hospital..its not the be all and end all if you don't get a hospital palcement, it obviously helps but doesn't elude you totally from pre reg in hospital!

i gues you could carry on applying, its not going to hurt your chances..worst case scenario is they'll say no
