Used to be sent direct from the Society. I got my SOP ties, still have, from a shop in Sicilian arcarde just off Bloomsbury Square. Was nearly 60 years ago. You could also try ebay.

I have two, which are now obsolete, one in blue and the other in some kind of plum colour. They are both showing the old coat of arms.

I also have a mug with some gold plating, a leech jar, some other jar in blue glass. I got them all on some anniversary a while ago, when I still thought they acted in the profession's interest.
    ....just my opinion

Was that an offer or just a boast that you have two?

Any idea where they were bought?

    Many thanks

If they were dishing them out I wouldn't need to buy one.

Trying to source one as a belated Xmas gift.

Society items were never cheap. There was price list which guaranteed them a profit. I have a chairman's jewel, they also had plaques with the coat of arms on them. When branch secretary, I believe I bought a transparency of the coat of arms. In the end I scanned it into the computer and printed on posters and attendance certificates.

think i need to be saving my money for fees, rather than splashing it out on ties or coats of arms....but give it a few decades and when i'm older, i'll probably be looking around for a tie lol

I bought them from the society-that-was in 1991, for the 150th anniversary. They were replicas of items from the museum, I recall (except the ties lol).
