Has been used in asian system of medicine for 1,000 years. Should be on sale as the herb ephedra in every bazaar.

Bappi, I'm not sure but you can look up the chemical synthesis of ephedrine in BURGER'S MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY AND DRUG DISCOVERY, probably in 6th volume. The book is available in our of Stamford University pharmacy library. You may also look up in other books of chemistry.
Here is a vague abstract taken from this site: Click here:
A mixture of 50 mL of absolute ethyl alcohol, 7.4g of 1-phenyl-1,2-propanedione (50 mmol) and an alcoholic solution of methylamine containing 1.6g (50 mmol) is reduced catalytically with hydrogen in the presence of 100 mg of platinum oxide to get ephedrine.
This drug is an alkaloid that can be obtained from the stem of Ephedra. Ephedrine and its salts are used orally, intravenously, intramuscularly and topically for a variety of conditions, such as allergic disorders, colds, hypotensive conditions and narcolepsy. It is used locally to costrict the nasal mucosa and cause decongestion and dialate the pupil or the bronchi. Systemically, it is effective for asthma, hay fever and urticaria.

Ephedrine is a drug that has been abused in the past, trust poster not looking to set up illegal lab to manf. Not sure if ephedrine can be converted to crystal meth.

Good isn't it? Want to make some money? Go onto a forum where the members will tell you how to make something to sell to the decadent west.

Haha Johnep, my thoughts entirely, and yeah I believe it is a pre-cursor for crystal meth
