Please could someone help me, i am currently doing the progression assessment in module 5 question 16. If a dental prescription is written :- co-amoxiclav 375mg tablets can it be dispensed? I am sure it can but my brain has turned to mush! I am trying to catch up as i have gotten a bit behind due to holidays and sickness . I would much appreciate anyones help.
Hi just competling this assessment, co-amoxiclav tablets can be dispensed on a dental script as of june 09! they are in the dentists forumalry in the drug tariff, the question makes out as though there is something wrong with it by asking you to explain your answer, i think its just a old question.
hey um dont u need to have the particulars of the prescriber? how do we know if he or she can prescribe it? it just states dental surgery. we dont know what qualifications the dentist has?
i know this is an old thread but im on this question and its got me too, i know co amoxiclav can be prescribed by a dentist, but the bnf says one three times a day for 5 days for dental infections, the prescription in question calls for 21 tabs, is this still okay? sorry if im posting this in the wrong place, and advice appreciated. thanks
