Urgent help i want a to know how to get training to work in a pharmacy!

Hello guys basically I've decided that I want to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry. Could you give me some ideas of any companies who will train me or training companies to gain a qualification to be able to work as a counter assistant or dispenser.

A career in the pharmaceutical industry means working your way up through one of the large companies that comprise that industry.

What you seem to be describing is working as an assistant in a "chemist shop". If this latter is the case then johnep's reply is true.

Shame really. So few opportunities for experienced and loyal staff members to move up in a company. Hardly inspiring for the staff at the bottom when they know they're firmly stuck there.

Most of the time companies get someone in from the outside who 'brings a wealth of experience'.
Little opportunity for advancement in community pharmacy.
Especially if you aren't a doormat.

Hello guys i was doing locuming 3 years ago and i want to start again. All agencies ask for qualifications and certificates, where you get those and how many minimum we need in order to work.

If you were working in the UK, then should be no problem. You will need to get a R.P cert.

All agencies ask for a number of certificates apart from your registration, ecperience or your degree! it looks that MUR, and repeat dispensing certificates are more important these days than degrees. My question basicaly is are minimum requirements for certificates for doing locum!

The RP (Responsible Pharmacist) cert has replaced the old Reg Cert required to be displayed in the pharmacy. Legally that is all you need. MUR certs, Smoking Cessation, etc all are extras. MUR cert will cost you, but unlikely to gain you any more money.
Some employers insist on one before offering a locum. However, they will not close the pharmacy and refuse to employ you if you do not have one. Local PCT will advise---if still there!.
