    Multiple prescription charges

    Could anyone help me out please and name some items that would incur multiple prescription charges??

    NPA publishes list, usually on display in every pharmacy. Presume you are looking for an answer to an NVQ question. We will help you find the answer, we will not just give you the answer.

    Yeah I am.Thanks....just wanted to get it done today.Is there anywhere online that you could direct me to please?I have tried good old google but not much luck

    OK just this once. go to PSNC site. There is a large PDF of dispensing resources. Go to p54 onwards.

    Well you did not try very hard in google did you?
    look here NHS Prescription Charge - £7.20 (No VAT)
    Common problem with students, cannot use google.

    Just a starter for 10... 48 packs of migraleve are a multiple charge.
    This is because they were OTC until the new paracetamol rules (and now the codeine ones too) disallowed quantities over 32, and the NHS didn't want to be handing out 48 for a single prescription charge for something that would usually cost twice as much to buy and was a branded item. While branded meds are OTC, they are usually not prescribable at all via NHS (see Blacklisted items)

    Other than that, do some research- it's not that tough. Good luck!
