Pharmacy-Career Direction

Hi All,
I am studying towards being a pharmacist and i would like some pointers on my career..My ultimate goal is to facilitate provision of less expensive medication to economically disadvantaged families.Will i achieve my goal better as a pharmacist or in some other capacity?.My plan is to work within the public health sector with disadvantaged (low income) families.Is there anyone out there who knows companies that provide lower cost drugs to poor nations or how i can achieve my goal. Please help with information and advise, THANK YOU.

Is this a UK posting...
No family in the UK can be that disadvantaged that they cannot afford medicines with our safety nets?
If genuinely they have no money the welfare system will support them.

Sounds like a US idealist. If not happened already, aid supplies will soon be sold in the markets on Haiti.

I did wonder how you could make a living in the UK doing that as a private enterprise.
Now I'm wondering how you do that in the USA, unless you work for a charity to get an income to pay for your own way through life.
