This is about right i'm afraid. All that hard work and you'd earn more stocking shelves over at Costcos!!!!

We've just had a pay rise and it's worse than it normally is. If you want to work somewhere were you are paid better, become a Tech at your local hospital or go to work for the PCT. Much better pay and working conditions.

    Moan, moan, whinge, whine.....blah...blah...blah....

Thats what I was afraid of. Well i guess my wages are ok considering this I just think that in light of cases of even dispensers being fined for dispensing errors that checkers hould be paid more due to the amount of responsibility that we take on.

Yeah, you'd think they'd up the wages a bit seeing as how we are in charge of thousands of pounds worth of stock, junior staff to look after and train, tons of scripts to get sorted, troubleshooting and taking care of the pharmacist. Maybe one day....

Maybe.... I just find it so frustrating as i work in retail pharmacy but in a seperate department which deals with nursing homes and mds for community patients which is rather envolved. The department runs mainly on ACT's and just a part time pharmacist so 90% of the checking is done by ACT's. So really we are taking on a lot of responsibility for not a fantastic wage.
