a patient came in at 5:50pm with a few prescriptions

yes, I don't moan if my staff are a few minutes late in the morning, its give and take hopefully. I'd never ask them to stay 5 minutes, but they always seem too !

A certain multiple was notorious for this.
Having experienced several humiliating interviews for being 5 - 10 mins late due to trains.
Finishing scripts off with the cleaners in the evening was OK though.

for me it depends on the urgency of the prescription. If it's non urgent and local i'll offer to send it round on delivery the next day.
Obviously if its urgent i'll do it - but i put the shutter down at closing time so i dont get any extra last minuters or 'can you justs' whilst i'm finishing off the initial last minute script.

few prescriptions??? ten minutes sound alot if a Rx for amoxicillin comes in but for a few scripts its not much, I would normally direct these patients to the best pharmacy to go to at the time.
