Now that the CPPE MUR course also costs £65, can anyone recommend which of the two courses are better value for money?
Also from checking out both sites, am I correct in thinking that in the medway one you get three lives after which it says you have to re-register. Does this also mean you have to pay another £65?
Likewise, for the CPPE course, you get 49 days to complete it. If you do not you have to restart the assessment from the beginning. Also if you fail any section three times you have to start again from the beginning. Again, does this mean you have to pay for the course again?
I've done the Medway course myself, and yes, once you've lost all your "lives" you have to repay and start again.
Having gone through the CPPE course with two friends, the Medway is much more straight forward to go through. I felt having the practical examples right infront of you straight away was a better way of me learning and applying my knowledge straight away. The CPPE course seems to have taken other pharmacists much longer to complete, as I feel it's far more long-winded!
Started cppe a long time ago (before fee) and didn't get around to finishing it - failed part 3 and forgot to continue after reflection time was up.
Looked at Medway today and had a go at the trial asthma mur. Passed but actually it worried me. Why? Because I ended up ticking lots of boxes on the form that the interview didn't cover.
So I'm wondering if the real Medway assessment is like that? And also what topics does it cover?
Any ideas please...
