Just a quick opening to the threat:
The course and assesment at Skills for MURs from Medway School of Pharmacy for MUR certification.

I have the studying materials from my employer and they are dated on May 2009, so I am not sure if directly getting them from the website (for what you will have to pay more) will bring an updated version.

Anyway, I would be grateful if anyone who is also studying this materials can add some interesting notes to bear in mind, so we don't miss any information.

So there it is... my first note:
The Skills for MURs (may2009) guide says that aspirin is recommended for patients over 50 in primary prevention when patient is hypertense or diabetic, BUT and I quote from the reference you will find below:

"Although guidelines have previously recommended its use in primary prevention, the evidence to support use is less robust, with recent studies showing limited efficacy and an increased risk of both gastrointestinal bleeding and intracerebral haemorrhage. For the primary prevention of CVD, off-license aspirin therapy should only be used after careful consideration of the individual risks and benefits and consultation with the individual patient"
