    Re: Mur

It looks very professional to me.

When will type 2 diabetes be added, that would be the big one, for me, at the moment.
    ....just my opinion

    Re: Mur

Hi, I've just started managing a large retail store with a pharmacy. I'm having real difficulty persuading the 3 Pharmacists and locums to complete these, they just don't see them as a benefit for our customers. Do any of you have some great success stories, or have you any tips for me? Anything would be greatly appreciated...

Do you see them as a benefit to 'customer' or to profits?

    Re: Mur

I won't lie, I'm targeted on achieving the 400 for the year. However, if the facts I've read are true (50% of people don't take their medication correctly) then I strongly believe that MCU's are potentially of huge benefit to the customer.
I think there's an assumption that you can't make money and give great service. I want all my customers to feel great. Why don't a lot of the Pharmacists I know? If I had the qualifications and knowledge to make a huge difference to someone and how they feel then I would absolutely to that. I am very new to this job and I need to understand the barriers for each individual. Is there an assumption that all managers are after the profit and is that the issue?

    Re: Mur

if you look at how your pharmacists work day by day, you'll see they give out great advice all day long, no need to sit down with a patient to give the SAME advice just so it can earn you're SHOP more money.

End of the day, you need to look at how busy you're pharmacy is. I bet the pharmacists don't even get a proper lunch break of any kind because of the workload, so why would they increase this workload further by spending 10 minutes + on an MUR, when in that 10 minutes they could have checked off a few trays or Rxs which NEED to be done rather than the MURs which aren't really a priority.
