Failed part 4 of the MUR assessment - why?

I have failed the last part of the MUR assessment on CPPE website. The case was that of a patient with: metformin, ramipril, bendroflumethiazide, Xalatan, lancets and blood glucose testing strips. I'm sure some of you have been given the same case. I have chosen the following options for the action plan:
    - metformin: compliance; refer to GP for urgent blood glucose testing
    - ramipril: counsel patient to take at night
    - bendro: no issue
    - Xalatan: confirm dosage with the prescriber
    - lancets and test strips: insufficient quantity prescribed.

Where the hell was I wrong? What kind of a test is it if it gives no feedback on where I made a mistake? Moreover, you have to tick exactly those boxes and choose only those options which the author regards as the only correct pattern of answers. I might just as well assume that it is not possible to pass it and it is designed with an aim of making me pay for obtaining the MUR accreditation at one of the courses organized by some universities.
    Frustrating...

Metformin - with or after food at prescribed dose
Xalatan - usually one drop at night, no need to store in fridge once opened
bendro- best taken first thing in the morning btw 6-8am to prevent patient from getting up in middle of night and risk of tripping (elderly).Advice to drink lots of water to prevent cramps , reduce caffiene intake due to its diuretic and dehydrating effect.
lancets and test strips - school of thot these days is that this is not a regular requirement as it does not enhance compliance.Perhaps one could ask patient when his last
Hba1c test was done and whether it was within range (most diabetic patients are clued up on this ) Patients who are not on insulin are using advised to self-check upto thrice a week or daily if ill.
ramipril- taken at night is a good idea because some patients do complain of unsteadiness when taken during the day

Not sure if all my answers are satisfactory, but hope it helps.
I decided to go for the University of Keele accreditation which was offered at a discount price of £75 following a Post grad certificate course ....I had to complete 4 case studies and score a minimum of 70% for accreditation but it was better than having to cope with the stress of cppe

Yes, thank you for your hints but the thing is that none of them were listed in the multiple-choice fields of MUR form. There are only five or six pre-entered entries in each field and you have to choose the correct one by clicking on the field. For example, in the 'issue' column there are: 'compliance', 'insufficient quantity prescribed', 'no issue' and a few more. I will pass this test sooner or later.

Perseverence and self-belief work wonders. I am pleased to announce that I HAVE PASSED! At the very last attempt but I mobilised every neuron in my CNS and I've made it! Now the printers at CPPE need just 3 weeks to produce a copy of my certificate but the worst is behind me. Thank you all for your help and good luck with your assesment if you still have to take it!

    well done you.
    perseverence + neurons + self-belief = success

next step - make sure you aren't bullied by " MUR target chasing" area managers !

secret formula=never buckle under pressure + stand your ground within reason of course !

    good luck

Can't you print your certificate off the CPPE website? You can for most of their distance learning but maybe this one is different because it has "official" status.

i did my MUR certificate from Medway so have not seen the question you are talking about. but at a guess and without the full question was the reason for a failure because the patient was diabetic and nice says they should be on an ace and a statin. your drug list has no statin so the drift may have been to check total cholesterol and give a statin. but i am just guessing not having seen the question. that would certainmly have been one of my recommendations.

Well, at least I don't have to wonder beacuse I know I'm not in the right job! However, this situation is only temporary, I hope.
