    MURs in scotland?

I have been told that this is not done in Scotland, but is this true? I cannot find any information, distance learning pack, etc for getting accredited in Scotland, but just want to confirm this.

I work in Scotland for a large multiple, and we do not at present do MUR's. Although I think there is a possibility that may change in the future.

Ok thanks for the reply. However, what schemes are present in Scotland? In England we also did free consultations for EHC and smoking cessation.

    Re: MURs in scotland?

Even though MUR services started from 2005 till now in a specific area in north 12% are not providing the services? Some of them are accredited some them are not. Its not a very good news.Question is that wat is the reason?
    1. Lacking confidence?
    2.Independent pharmacy ?
    3. Barrier with GP..?
Or there is more to talk about?

Also why most Of the pharmacist go for the accreditation in Medway school of Phamcy rather than Reading or Cardiff University?

I think it was Clare Mackay who first suggested MURs. They also have a record of getting you through quickly. One day in my case.

MURs aren't a part of the Scottish Pharmacy Contract.

At present the contract can be divided into 4 sections:

    MAS - Minor Ailment Service
    PHS - Public Health Service
    CMS - Chronic Medication Service
    AMS - Acute Medication Service.
