how much info do you need on these mur forms, i can't decide
Ah the six million dollar question! How much is too little, or too much? Personally I think as long as the patient gets benefit from the MUR, that is key. I don't write information for the sake of it, yet if you, or the patient think it's beneficial don't be afraid to write it down. After all the patient may read their copy again later on...![]()
true but I just want to send off my assesment to c & d - what do they want may not be the same as in practice![]()
I do wish initial posters would make their questions clear. We all thought you were talking about the actual MUR form referring to a pt. Are you referring to the assessment form to give you accreditation?

A Pharmacist not long ago confessed to me that she did her (Boots accreditation) MUR training in a train journey!
I read your conversation with some interest.....
We are trying to put together a team to fulfil MUR(s) for 3rd parties. Essentially getting some income back to the Pharmacies that are failling to meet their quota. I have had several lengthy discussions as to what the intent, format, effort and range of an MUR should be. Is anyone clear on these points?
How long does it take (on average) to complete the course content and the exams? If anyone already (or getting) certified could fill me in on this it would help. I'm tasked with finding the Pharmacists to perform the reviews which is not as easy as one might anticipate... So any of you with spare time or looking to do something a bit different please contact me.
Another question other than here and RPSGB/PJ where do you all hide? CV Library has some Pharmacists Reed and total a few and I can see a few on LinkedIn but where are the other 35,000 hiding?![]()
I tried to get PCT to allow me to do MURs for those pts who do not get to the pharmacy, ie the housebound pts usually on MDS trays. However, the PCt insists on CRB check on all who visit pts homes. I said no problem, but as self employed locum, check can only be done at request of employer. Catch 22 situation.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and a fairly new to UK pharmacist as well, but can give you advice on CRB check, because I had it done recently. It was requested BY PCT as "employer" of pharmacists who provide services in their area. All I had to do was sending filled in form and required documents to desingated person at PCT who proceeded my request further.
After 3 weeks I had my copy of CRB check sent by post, and another one was sent directly to PCT.
