I'm expected to have this Mur accreditation in the next 3 months. So which is the best way to have it?

CPPE accreditation is free but can be annoying. Already on this board is some help I've given on passing the second (Hardest) section.

If you're being made to be accredited I assume that you are an employee following company orders. In which case get them to stump up the cash for the Reading Uni course which is more comprehensive and easier to pass.

I've actually done my MUR and sent it off - along with my sixty quid for marking it! I sent it ages ago, but haven't heard anything yet. Does anyone know how long it takes? I did the Medway one, and was told on the phone by them it can take weeks, but that was weeks ago!

I attended a one day course given by Claire McKay at sigma offices in watford. Very very intensive but at end of day we all stumped up the cash and our certs followed a few weeks later.
That was over a year ago and not done one MUR since, what I would love is a forum with worked actual examples.

Would anyone share a recent MUR with the group?
Anonymise the patient, give them a near DoB and let us all get to work on it?

Hi - I had the same problem. But somehow they had sent my certificate to an old address, that I had left about 6 months before doing the course. I only discovered this when I phoned to chase them and they said '...but you have been sent the certificate'. So I would suggest you chase them up and double check what address they have for you.

What a coincidence - I got it yesterday and did my first one today!

I'm going to start a section so we can all share them if that's ok with everyone.

Yes please I am terrified will miss something. Saw nothing wrong at first with the script that Claire Mckay used as an example:

Aches and pains--put on diclofenac.

Stomach probs----metoclorpropamide added

Parkinson like side effects of meto,

Sinemet 110 added

I foget the rest of the sequence, but pretty horrifying when explained.

Please no.
They should remain confidential. Even in a private section of the forum.

Jeff

It's easy to make the data anonymous.
