Hi,
the following question is part of the MUR assessment, CPPE Manchester.
Does anyone know if the statement is true or false? (Astma treatment)

According to the BTS guidelines it is recommended that treatment be reviewed every three months and if control is achieved the dose of corticosteroid should be reduced to the lowest possible dose.

Haven't found the answer in the BTS guidelines.

Yes ,BTS guidelines does advocate corticosteroid step down , if asthma is well controlled

From memory it's somewhere in small print in the BNF on the pages with the BTS guidelines.
