    Angry Re: Name and shame

I've heard of locums strolling in at 10am with a McDoanlds breakfast. Others come in with their Iphones and Nintendos and play on that. I even heard of a locum who came in and then went to the car park to hand wash his car, and asked staff to bring baskets into the carpark to check while he valeted his vehicle.
These locums do it, get away with it, get other bookings, while most of us slog away, for the same pay, and often loose bookings to these pricks because they are more established, or whatever personal relationships they have with an agency or coordinator.
Thus, staff should have means of reporting locums (I belieev they do, but whether they do it is a different matter), and likewise with locums, it should all be officialised and done without stigma and wholly encouraged.

I heard the same. Is this because
    a. It is a widespread practice?
    b. It is an urban pharmacy myth? or
    c. This chap has a very very clean car and neo works in the NW England like me

Anyway, my car is living proof I don't do that!

I'm a member of tripadvisor, which encourages its members to report and rate on holidays they have had, particularly on hotels and B&Bs. Could we do that as locums? The B&Bs have a right of reply, of course.

Is there a difference that we are being paid to attend and work? Is there a difference that we might not want to name the really good shops that we go to regularly because someone might muscle-in? Is there a difference that we would be reporting on shops in our locality, ie where we live, rather than at a holiday destination we might never return to?

On a more practical level, is there a business rating site already set up that we could join in on to give these reviews? Does anyone use one?
    ....just my opinion

Read the posts. Naming and shaming was not my idea; frankly I totally disagree with it. I admire your youthful enthusiasm, however. The blog was Dizzy's idea. I have never had ANYONE 'walk over my face' . You threaten to 'name and shame'...no-one has done so to date. why not? ONCE AGAIN, may I invite you to just do it, otherwise stop posting your idle threats and have a good look at yourself instead. Just by way of general information, and I quote, you 'often loose bookings to these pricks' is probably the most unexpected and unfortunate posting I have ever read on this forum from a person who presumably considers themself to be a practising professional.

Loosing booking to them is more frustration than anything.

'unfortunate posting I have ever read on this forum from a person who presumably considers themself to be a practising professional.
Today 06:49 PM' (from a senior pharmacy professional, a grown man in his 40's or 50's, someone who threatened to physically harm another member. That's rich)

It's 06:31pm as I write this. By 'loosing' I assume you meant 'losing'. Not doing too well really, are you?

I copied and pasted from the quote link, hence the times of the message board are inaccurate. Next?
Picking up on typo's. How very desperate. Clutching at straws a tad?
Answer the point made: 'unfortunate posting I have ever read on this forum from a person who presumably considers themself to be a practising professional.'
Do you consider yourself to be professional by threatening to punch another poster? Are you quite a control-freak, angry invidividual with multiple issues?

Back again: Not doing too well really, are you?

Oh I'm fine Mr Neo. Who did I threaten to punch?...I had quite forgotten about that...please copy my original post so I can re-read it. And yes.. I am quite a control-freak, angry invidividual with multiple issues. Oh...by the way..."typo's" should not have an apostrophe.

'Frankly, with an attitude like you are displaying, as old as I am, I would quite happily board a plane, fly to wherever you are based, and smack your silly mouth, however 'big' you like to think you are.

    All the best,

    Fleeg. lol'

Highly unprofessional, and quite un-fit to practice. Best bring that retirement date forward, fleeg.
