    Late payment- no reply/response- UNPROFESSIONAL

    Hi all,

AAAARRRRRRGHHH so irritated by boots! I worked a midnight shift for them at short notice... wers my pay??? its coming up to 3 weeks.

I understand it takes approx 14 days on avg for payment to be made. BUT i am a newly qualified, this was my first shift for them, they dont have my bank details and each time i try and contact the person responsible (to give my bank details) i get no answer or voicemail! I have left messages and i have also emailed the area co-ordinator twice!

I have had no response of 'reciept' of my email or acknowledgement of my query.

This to me is totally unprofessional. BOOTS pride themselves on working ethos and professionalism.... where?? i cant see it??

Any1 els have these sort of problems with boots? any advice??

What you needed to have done was fill in a claim form at the time you worked.
I once waited three months, never worked there again. Currently trying to resign but no reply despite being told, 'being dealt with' tomorrow I am going to get onto head office to complain. Supposed to go through 'line manager' but what do you do if 'line manager' does nothing?

Had this myself, took me aaaaages to get paid after loads of chasing around, swore I'd never work for them again and never have. Boots suck.

Keep hassling them, you'll get there in the end.

Only 3 weeks .....sorry I had to wait for 14weeks+ after so many phone calls text messages e-mails etc. worked at one of their stores in the South East .The so called rep/co-ordinator was absolutely useless. GOOD luck though, I started a thread on locum voice and someone left a few numbers & contact names..check it out if you get stuck.Good luck .I have to say L...DS are the BEST for quick locum renumeration if nothing else

This thread prompted me to chase BTC re no reply to resignation request. I need a certificate of earnings for my tax return. Finally I contacted a most helpful lady at Feltham 0208 890 9333, ask for Pat Lawson. She for once did the chasing around the co and finally tracked down a senior manager who gave the recalcitrant local manager the proverbial.

He also gave me his contact nbr to chase if necessary.

All this is enough to put you off resigning, isn't it.
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
    What do you want?;..................

thnx johnep... i contacted that lady she seemed very helpful but she said 'boots have closed down the finance department at that site' (many staff made redundant!!), all she knows is that somewhere in Nottingham is where the finance for pharmacists is dealt with.

But, she did take my details and asked me who id been in contact with to c if she could do sum chasing around.

Re: Late payment- no reply/response- UNPROFESSIONAL

I am no longer doing locums, but if it has come to this, I would almost certainly insist on a booking fee, say 50% of the final payment in advance. If the company questions your motives, quote them every example of the problems you have encountered with them in the past when you requested payment. If they don't play ball, the answer is simple...

Tell them to feck off. You're not a charity.

If you don't feel you can confidently do this, you're in the wrong business.

Re: Late payment- no reply/response- UNPROFESSIONAL

I'm currently 5 weeks overdue payment for a weekend locum in Dublin. Its a pain having to call now from England to chase up the payment. I am considering using debt collection agency if it continues for another month. Any thoughts? It may cost me a bit but I'd at least like to shake them up a bit and let them know I know what my principles are
